The movie was previewed earlier in the week on kiteforum and it got rave reviews.

SHADES OF GREEN features is about a crew of surfkiters Reo Stevens,form Hawaii, Ian Alderidge and Bear Karry from California who hook up with Ben and score a great swell in Indo.

The filmwork is awesome and includes never seen before angles shot by the riders holding the camera and shooting directly into the barrell.
A really different feel to this film as Ben captures the whole experience of travel, surfing and kiting in a remote location.
Plus you see all four riders have different styles and they all rip.
This film features the biggest and longest barrells captured on film to date.
My call is it is his best production to date and it is available free on the sites above.

I noticed ben wears a leash when he's kiting in the surf, yet ya hear time and time again that it's a stupid thing to do..
What's the go there.. pros exempt from this??

Awesome! Had me watching to the very end.

Yeah but if your board gets swept inside on those kind of reefs, it could be impossible to go in and get it being so shallow and razor sharp.

Watch his smack dvd and he says choose what to do depending on your skill level, for example at a crowded surf break, it can also stop your board hitting other people.

Of course, best to always wear a helmet, especially if your on your twinny pulling powered moves where your just asking for a missile in the head!

this is a matter of opinion and will probably start a whole new debate, but i reckon its a stupid thing not to wear a leg rope in the surf and have to body drag around in the impact zone trying to chase down your board. especially when you come off as often as i do.

having said this, i have managed to wrap the legrope several times around my lines after a stack, its not pretty.
but its better than losing your board every time you go over the falls....

here we go again.....

Jamie o is the most selfish self absorbed dick to be ever blessed with skills.The movie will be great, but it will not show you what went on behind the scenes. Greedy gang mentality all over the world,3 hours surfs trying 1 move to get it on film at Bali's most crowded right, taking over Nias with his Hui mates.
Don't be a sucker and beleive everything you see on T.V. J.O.B. is wanker!
