any one got tickets through sky air world..... and now that the airline has gone bust, buga...... will the government bail us out ?

Contacted sky air they said to email copies of confirmation etc wit account details and they'll fully reinberse us, heard nothink from them tried chasing them up about it and still no reply

HI. Njs have been given the contract for the next 12 months out to Cocos Island. I have heard from the islanders that the Government will ensure that bookings are honoured and will make up the fare difference between SAW and NJS. Not sure if they are just doing this with the islanders or everyone.
SAW have gone under with some massive debts, and a very long line of creditors, so doubt that anyone will have much luck getting there there money back from them. As it was DOTARS that cocked up by awarding a government contract to a company that was already trading insolvent, I would pester DOTARS for an outcome.

Yep its frustrating for us on island not knowing exactly what going on yet but hopefully soon the Govt will get something sorted for the long term.
