Anybody used the cable ski in Singapore? www.ski360degree.com

Going to Singers this weekend and wondering whether to make the effort to check it out. I see it’s an anti-clock wise circuit… damn those goofy footers!

I think you'll find that 80% of the worlds cable parks are anti clockwise. Learn switch :)

Ski 360 is good, I hit it every time I get to Singapore. The water is cleaner than up at Pongol where you can hire a boat and driver for about SG$110 an hour...but thats not saying much. I haven't been sick from it yet. They have boards for hire (does not cost extra). The boards are pretty chewed up, so if you can take your own. I took my own on the last trip and it made a world of difference. Gave me much more confidence on the kickers and sliders. I've found most cabbies are not 100% sure where it is. they usually know jumbo seafood which is next door.

i dont understand, just hang on with the other hand, it shouldn't matter which way the corners are???? Inform me please :)

yeh i went there on a windy day and the water was still really flat and it didnt seem too dirty. it a good one and but i think the bli bli one is a bit better overall.

When the cable is turning anticlockwise it is more suited for goofy footers because
to get the best pop and pull upwards from the cable you need to time your pop with the time that the cable makes the 90 degree turn at the corners. ( cable riders do most of the big inverted airs etc.... as the cable turns ) this is because you are able to fully load the cable by cutting hard against it as it turns the corner then like popping normally the opposing forces have no outlet but to pull you up off the water and into the new direction of the cable.
When the cable is turning anti clockwise goofy footers are on their more natural heelside ( right foot forward ) each time the cable makes the 90degree turn thus they are able to load up the line with more force leading to better pop and height.

as a natural footer i find this very frustrating

does anyone know of a cable park in Aus that runs clockwise ? the two I have been to ( CAirns, Bli Bli ) both run anticlockwise

Had a great day at Cable-Ski.com Batam Island, great scene with the cool music and crew. Cheap as at SGD$50 for 4 hours and SGD$2 for an Ice cold Bintan Beer.
The circuit is anti-clockwise and has 3 Kickers set up for Natural stance, 1 for goofy stance and a nice long slider for goofy stance. My neck still a little sore from the slider, nothing that some cement my coffee to HTFU wont fix. Trick is to ride switch as much as possible and enjoy the full circuit. If you come off then a motor bike is sent to pick you up so no need to walk back and more time on the water.
Boards supplied are pretty standard so i took my X-series Aboards Kiteboard out and had a ball.
Well worth the day out and if you are in Singapore than a full day pass including Ferry to Batam (Indonesia) and lunch is SGD$90, 7 day visa US$10 extra.

Unfortunately didn't even get a chance to try out ski360, I seemed to get trapped in this labyrinth of shopping centres... not my choice
