just thought i would direct you guys to this facebook page and also a thread i started on the wake.com site to show support for the cable wake park idea for perth. if you are like me you will be soooo damn frustrated by the lack of wind in perth currently and would love to have a cable park to go to. anyway... reply to this thread and the other 2 as well to show your support and hope that someone takes notice and builds the thing!

with a sheep under his arm and says 'This is the pig i have to shag everytime youve got a headache'

she replies 'thats not a pig thats a sheep'

He replies ' Im not talking to you - youve got a headache'

BAaa haaa haaa non patriotic but just as funny az ... tie me kangaroo down sport

Spent many many many days skiing at the cable park in Spearwood from age 12 (couldn't even hang on around the corners on fast speed and did the 'superboy' every time!) up until my mid 20s.

In the early 90s I used to be part of the club there skiing etc on winter nights.. Brrr brrr!! a hot milo and a hot ended pacifier went extremely well after that!! Let me tell you cranking up to 52km p/hr and faceplanting the cold dense water, after a decent jump, knocks the Aurthur and Marther about!!

Would be worth the treck in the off season. Hope it gets up. Great for non ski boat folks to be able to access skiing. Kn good fun as a kid skiing for 2 hrs straight.

Bugger! Finally gave away my trick ski in new condition only a couple of months ago.

You could always come for a trip over to bli bli. If you look around for cheap flights at random times, and also ring the cable park and tell them your comming for a few days with a few mates and want a deal you can actually do it pretty cheap.
A few of the melbourne boys have been comming up every now and again. Also a few NZ guys have come over lately as well.

There's some random clips from bli bli in the last 2 Tweak and Presty **** show vids. (vid's where they just put together random crap laying around on there hardrives for others to laugh at).

Hope you guys get a cable and some good obstacles.

We need one of these here for the crappy 30knot - I mean 3 knot days

Maybe with the increase in kiteing popularity, it would work well this time because of a new market that is not limited to those owning a ski boat

Where do I sign up

Oh yeh Facebook dun that

What about Burswood there's plenty of Lakes and Ponds around there and easily accessible by public transport.

Consider another 12 month membership paid up if it happens.

Good point - also wakeboarding is way more popular than back in the day and not everyone has access to a boat.

Biggest drama I can see is the cost of real estate (the reason the Spearwood place sold yrs ago) for a decent sized place anywhere north of Mandurah or south of two rocks? Maaayyyybbbee in the foothills?

Also residents would probably complain about the constant hummmm...snick! hummm.. snick! hummm...

The hoots and yeoowws from stoked kiters having access to anything resembling kiting would be bound to draw the ire of any poleys living in the vicinty too!

Sure - try defragging 1st then just decide how many Gb you want to devote to a ski park.

Ba ha ha ha ha - pocket protector lovers everywhere are cracking up and steaming their glasses up for sure. Er.. I need to socialise a bit more often.

Maybe a better idea would be to start a petition?

If it happens, it`s got my support and membership. But from my experience living in Perth, the fun police (councils, local community groups) will do their best not to make it happen.

I learnt to ski behind a boat at the Burswood bend (right next to where the Farmer Fwy cuts thru now) around 80'. Good times.

That would be an unreal spot. Wishful thinking tho.

I miss spearwood too, many fine faceplants and enemas were had. Cable parks make it possible for the avergage can't afford a boat person to have a go. I'll bring a shovel if anyone needs a hand digging a new lake

The old owners of the Spearwood park still have the gear still in a couple of sea containers. They have been super keen to get one back up but cant find a suitable site.. with Perth's super (non)affordable land prices and all.
