Specs: the rig should be light wieght and compact to store.

Floatation: bright, safe, inflatable, stable to 50 knots.

Lead to Anchor: 1-50m length, retracktable.

Anchor: hold position of floatation in 50 knots and 5 meter swell.

Don't even know if the specs are right. Any ideas on how these bouys could be built, and what materials to use and at what cost? How do the yachties do it?

holding pos. in 50 knots and 5 meter swell's a bit of a stretch.

GO see the lads at the Royal Perth Yacht Club, or if your closer, see some of the guys at your nearest dive shop, theres one at hillarys marina, just before the right side of the wall, big sign, cant miss it.

lol.
A cryptic request ?
Are you anticipating some rough weather for your mystery 'event' ?
Nuke-wind and a solid swell always adds some interest.
I'm guessing it's next month ?
August can be wild on the West Coast.

So you need to design a kiteboy, hey ?
Ask the poleys,
they know all that techno geek stuff.
hahah

Thanks for the suggestions peoples. Makes a lot of sense to "rent" rather than build. I'll make some enquiries.
