where the outside lines come down from you kite and run thru the pulleys then up to the 'ring' where your front lines attach. At this point (ring) shorten your back lines by 'x'cm and re-tie them.

The problem is that when all the lines are same length the outside lines appear to be too long. If w attach the kite end all at the same point (about hip high) and pull back on the bar so the inside lines are pulled tight the outside lines are hitting the ground.

With our old lines all lines would tesnsion when the bar was fully sheeted.

Not sure if we should be making the outside lines shorter or if this is normal?

If you liked the way your kite flew on the old lines just do what I say and it will be all good.
I can't explain why the new lineset is like that, but I have seen uneven lines in linesets before, at least you don't have just one longer line or all different lengths!

Don't lose any more sleep over this, just make some pigtails, and make your new lines exactly the same realtive lengths as your old ones, connect to kite and go kiting (if you can find some wind!)
