Had a great session yesterday at a flat water beach we call Andock Park. The blue line is about 250m out from the beach and the depth goes from knee deep to waist deep - perfectly clear water and an ideal spot for building skills on flat water.

There were lots of stingrays just sitting on the bottom in knee deep water and whenever I came near they'd shoot off and I'd chase after them. Even fully powered and cranking along they would leave me in the dust.

Anyway it was a great little game to kite toward them and see them take off. Such amazing creatures.

Oh, and we're not the only ones scared of our kite shadows, the rays get freaked out by them too:-)

Once you master one foot out boardoffs it's even more fun to do low 'hover-boosts' and tap boogeyboarders on the head with your foot.

I had a similar experience chasing baby/small sharks in the big lagoon ( Near Denham WA )

AS soon as the kite shadow was over them they would take off at an incredible rate waaay waaay faster than I could kite.
