Anyone here kitesurf with Cochlear Implants? I'm getting mine in 2 weeks and wondering if anyone has advice from experience. Gonna post this in the surfing forum too since I surf as well. For those who know the tech, I'm thinking of getting the AB Neptunes..
Thanks!

Might be worth checking with the windsurfers aswell. Theres a certain need to hear when traveling at speed for situation awareness that i dont think surfers really need. Plus the age thing might mean more cochlear implant users

Good idea. Yep definitely more older cochlear recipients. Either that or babies and they won't be very helpful.

Yep - I'm implanted. So good to be able to wear my waterproof one (A.B. Neptune) while kiting and being able to hear the water. Just ensure you put lots of magnets on and wear a hat to keep it in place. It falls off a lot when foil crashing....

Thanks man. Good to know. Good thinking on the hat. Where do you attach the neptune? Armband? I was thinking of stitching a pocket inside my wetsuit top.

I just put it under my wetsuit top on the chest. No need to stitch a pocket.

Cool mate that's easy thanks! What cable length you find best? Have to put an order in and there's a bunch of options.

I only use the longest one because I clip it on my shorts for sailing too. nothing wrong with extra length stuffed inside your wetty, you'll be buying heaps of cables with the corrosion from saltwater anyway.
