Hi,

I´m from Germany - sorry for my poor English - and I´m new here.
I´m going to visit WA from the beginning of October to the middle of December, coming and leaving from Perth. I want to kite surf the westcost from Gnaraloo to Margaret River. I prefer riding in the waves but I think every day in the water is a good day.
Though it´s my first time in Australia I would be happy to get some tipps or help. I already spoke to some guys who did the same and each of them was stoked about surfing, camping and travelling there.
First of all I´m looking for a car to stay in, e.g. a campervan or a station wagon. Renting for such a long period is so expensive so may be anybody has a cheaper option for me.
I´d also like to meet some kitemates who are in the area at the same time.
So I´m really curious to visit your famous country.
Thank you for any help.
See you on the water.

Arnie

Please be respectful of others (particularly surfers) in the waves, i.e. closest to the peak has priority etc and know you limits and you will enjoy yourself.
Some of those locations are remote and can be very dangerous.

If in doubt, don't go out.

You obviously haven't travelled much. A lot of germans speak a better brand of english than us! HA HA....

We should however show some courtesy I suppose, but the sport has reached a point like surfing where we are getting a little less inclined to promote spots. Back in the old days it was kind of comforting to have someone out and near by, nowadays we want the opposite.

To the german dude, just get over here and hit the beaches, we are not short of places, space and wind. But certain areas are getting by our standards 'crowded' hence I don't think you'll get much love here. But don't take it the wrong way, we are a a genuinely freindly bunch or would love to have a beer with you after a kite.

Just be aware some places far up north, and also the extreme south you have planned to go are for experienced kiters and some downright dangerous either way.

Margrates to Gnaraloo, a perfect little downwinder, should be able to do it in an afternoon and find your own excellent wave spots on the way.

I got well looked after in Germany at the local kerwas (?) beer festivals anyway and was special guest at the boat gladiator game. Fishersticken? Anyway email me on here and I can take you out in the local areas in Perth and give you a little advice about north and south. May even set you up at my bros in margerets. Brust! (cheers) haha

if your wanting to go to G'loo how experienced are you in the waves? can you ride with windsurfers? even in Gero theres places where we kite over very very exposed reef so you just have to be ok with the consequences

Following on from Jono, Eppo and Default: surely "Brust" is preferable to "Prost".
