I've got a sure-fire spreader bar from Slingshot i think that their pretty good but im just a learner and what would i know.
I haven't seen too many people on the beach using them so i was wondering weather i got sold a lemon or have people just not discovered them yet?
I can see a few advantages of them like being able to bail out when ever you need to and you are able to untwist your safety line easy.
Are there any disadvantages that i don't know about?
Please help a confused child.
Cheers Nug.

You haven't been sold a lemon, they're pretty good with the only problem being that you can't do a handle pass with leash attached.

I assume this won't be a problem for you for a while yet

Would hate to see rumours spread .. didn't slingshot got onto the issue pretty quick and resolve any problems?

Ive been using the Surefire for awhile now and have had no problems with it to date, but when I did need it, it worked great.
easier than trying to grab a small release tab when your in trouble.
