Well I just went out for a downwinder from peregian to coolum, I got 2kms down the beach and the wind stopped. Its times like this and my stupid turbo deisel likes to invert. So after a lot of swimmig and walking I am back and venting my frustration. Anyone have the invert problem when the wind stops, and more importantly anyone know how to rectify it when it is falling from the sky and flipping over to invert. I have tried pulling on lines, dropping lines, screaming and several other techniques, all to no avail.

I have had my turbo diesel for about 3 months now and have had at least 20 sessions on it - I have only had it invert twice due to falling out of the sky - there's not much you can do while its happening. Both times though I've been able to get it back up and flying.

Lets hope we get some of Northerlies again like 2 wks ago - I had 4 downwinders in 4 days. On the Saturday I went from Castaways to Coolum and there were whales out about 300m off the beach near Peregian.

and dream on about kiting again doin the coolum to sunshine downwinder

Dont stress about the wind. The goldy two weeks ago had red arrows predicted for the wkend. Ended up being 15-20knt Northerlies all wkend. A few of us from the goldy are going to have a crack at the race. Hoping just to have fun. (only have a 126 twiny and 13m kite).

its meant to be 15-20 SE so its going to be from mudjimba to coolum so we are going to go around the headland

Only 6 more weeks to go, hopefully I,ll be out in the water befor chrissy.

Had a great session yesterday afternoon in 15 to 20kt SE which on the Mudjimba stretch is slightly more onshore than cross shore which would be great for the race. In those conditions you could probably head straight to coolum without doing one jibe.

sounds like mike will be busy, Maybe i can overtake him amoungst all the pimping.and win the race!
