Hello Sunshine Coasters

I will be in Coolum this weekend for a bit of work and hopefully some kiting. I am from Sydney so not quite sure what the conditions will be like. I have had a look at the predictions for the Sunshine Coast here on Seabreeze and it looks so-so.

What size kites do you recommend I bring? I have bow kites, size 9, 12 and 15.

Just looked at the forecast and it's looking pretty bad - Westerlies...We need a N, NE or S, SE to kite here or if the tide is right you can kite an E in the rivermouth at Maroochydore.
Let's wait and see what the weekend brings - the actuals may be different to the forecast.
I have PM'd you my mobile no. text me when you get the number and I'll call you on the weekend if there's any kitable wind.

You're probably best bringing your 12 & 15.

Thanks for the advice guys - not sure whether you want me to bring our wind up (we've had nothing for months). I had a couple of good days up on your beautiful coast earlier in the year and am hoping to have some more.

had a good DW 2 day sunshine to peregian in the rain a bit gusty but hey whos complaining about a NE in june Yeh me an Mick timed it just right, soon after we finished it really pissed down.

can someone pick me up? i dont have school tommorw (thursday) and my dads at work, looking at today it seems the earlier the better, went out at maroochydore today and after about 20min it dropped off, luckily my friend had a boat so we had wakeboarding as a back up.

DI Sounds like a plan - I've always wanted to try up there in a westerly. I have a forby so I can take you Echo if you like. I think the family would come up for the ride too.

At this stage guys it looks like Inskip is the only option,with wsw being the predicted direction and 8.45 low tide for an easy drive up an come Home via Cooloola way or Gympy because high tides at 3pm an it will be a real slog through the soft stuff until about 5pm in which case we could kite till Dark an freeze our butts off in the first real winter westerly of the year an then come home via the beach again,makes for a big day though

What day? I have a flight saturday But I can probably change it to Sunday. Thanks for the offer Sunseeker. Perhaps I can give u a seat on the plane in exchange for a seat in the car .

DI might be ok now for sat,they have changed the forcast....How unusual Straight west now,lets check it out an if no good continue on to Inskip.
Good if echo an sunseeker can come too,what about we meet at the barge an
car pool from there or what ever ya wanna do

anyone rekon weyba would be good right now, did a google earth on the location and it has potential for a westerely, little beach off Nyell rd

don't reckon so Dustin...a Westerly will be pretty poor in there - you're probably better off up at Noosa.

we scoped it out, little adventure around the lake lookin at potential spots, seems to be the go in a NW wind, there were no locations for a SW so today wasnt the go. Next time theres a NW or WNW i'll show you were to head.

duuuude went up to spot x today, was sooooo good. me and alex headed up and we had it all to ourselves all day. funnest session, all u sunnycoasters missed out hardcore
