C's and Bows

since I last posted i've tried both c's and bows. I don't get the debate, i know i'm still a newbie but they feel the same to me.
Seems the only real difference is how hard you need to edge and where you hold your arms while kiting. Obviously there is more throw in the bar on the bows, but, Am i missing something? I've read heaps of posts where everyone chooses one over the other. I know i'm still a newbie kook but i really don't see that much difference.
Is it just that the newer kites are getting more alike?
