Going to get myself a new custom surfboard to help deal with the dreaded off-season. I have seen plenty of info on shapers over in WA but don't recall any here in QLD.

Of course, I'll be getting reinforced for kiting for when the wind comes back.[}:)]

I,m on the Sunshine Coast and thinking of using Shotgun but any advise would be appreciated.

Hey mate I live on the sunny coast aswell and get my boards shaped by scott at sls surfboards at moffat beach. I had a custom mal and kiteboard shaped from him and love them so much I placed another order for a mal off him last week which should be ready to hit water soon!! Give him a call and he should be able to sort something out.
Cheers
Clinton

Do yourself a favour and get yourself a Shotgun. Tully shapes a sick board! I've been so stoked with every board he has made me!

My old boss up there was probably the sickest surfer I have ever seen outside of the top 44, and he swore by Shotgun boards.

Tully's Shot Guns are great for sure. He has done a lot of work with kite surf boards and can reinforce the needed areas to handle the kite abuse.

Another option is the new BWS Rawson boards the 5 7 and 6 1 are both easy boards to paddle into a wave as well as being stronger to handle kite abuse.

The 6 1 Rawson is around 19 1/2 wide from memory and has a nice amount of foam thickness in the middle which make it easy to paddle.

The new BWS Rawson is worth a look!
