This might sound silly but I am starting to get into this sport and wondering why is there different size kites. Does it have something to do with how much you weigh or is it the speed that you can do.
I am starting to get over a minor back injury, could anyone please tell me how much kiting affects the back.

different wind strength
different locations
different maneuvers
different styles
different boards
different fins
different waves
different sex
different manufacturers
different countries
different wind directions...

I do see a lot of kiters out on 12m Kites in 25Kts wind and 6ft waves

I'll never join the dark side - never.
I was just generalizing that in most sports pertaining to wind and waves there are numerous factors involved with selecting the right gear.
Please feel free to correct me if necessary.
