When jumping with good speed and reasonable height, is it important which direction the kite is looped? Natural footer traveling from right to left, kite at ten o clock, edge, send kite to 12ish one, jump...kite loop in which direction?...land softly, regain edge...repeat.

Loop the kite towards your right shoulder. Loop the opposite direction your traveling.

Edit: Never said you would land softly.

If your just after a soft landing from a high jump and not an actual kite loop, always downloop, around 2m above ground i normally downloop. I find the best thing to do is go out with some of your locals who are landing tricks you would like to learn and get as much tips as you can.

i would have thought to loop the kite when jumping you should pull down with your back hand once at the apex

either :) looping backwards you wanna just throw into the loop early, forwards you wanna throw into the loop late (and higher up :)

These guys are taking the p iss.

if you want a soft landind and carry on in the same direction then loop with your front hand on the way down.

if you want an official "kiteloop" loop with the back hand on the way up. your landing will be fast and potenitially hard.

if you want to change direction loop with your back hand on the way down.

with all loops once started commit 100%.
