Hi, I was wondering if anyone used to be a directional boardrider who rode toeside and then made the change to twin tips. I ride a directional toeside and are getting sore knees and back and am looking at making the change, I have borrowed a twin tip and attempted to get up on my opposite side but stuggled, I want to know from anyone how I will go about this, will it take me a few months to learn it, will it be like learning all over again?? I have asked people down the beach and some say you will be up in a few hours but most say it will take you about a month!!
Cheers!!!

Hi Zac if you are not going the other direction by the end of one day i would be very suprised.
Before i learnt to go toeside on my directional i used to stop turn the board by hand then come back the other direction. In fact i still do this on my mutant if the wind is marginal as you need to be well powered to toeside.
You can also learn to gybe, but i have long given up trying myself.
