Most kites brands use projected area.
Unbridled foils like Peter Lynn have about the same power as C kites.
Bridled foils like FlySurfer have more power eg 10m FlySurfer has the same bottom end as a 12-14m C/bow, top end similar ie overall more wind range.
Smaller kites turn faster.
Stall characteristics change significantly from model to model eg FlySurfer Pulse2 stalls earlier than the Speed2 but it turns faster and is more stable. Unlike LEI kites, bridled foils can still be used effectively at the low end of wind range but may need to flown using different techniques to minimize stalling.
