Well there must be a Scarborough in Bolivia or something???
I live in Scarborough WA for the past 20 years, I have 3 young daughters and a dog and they all risk their lives everyday by walking those streets!!!
Lol, I love Scarb, a real holiday feel in the centre of a big city, great community feel, awesome beaches and guaranteed sea breeze to cool you down everyday.
The antisocial behaviour is basically non existent (a 1000 times better than it was in the old look out, stamford arns , contaccio and indian ocean bar days), there are actually great free activities such as concerts at the beach amphitheatre, a new night market, new water front eateries opening...
I fuel at that servo at night at least once a week and am yet to be raped

So what if there is the odd biff or drunken behaviour, I don't want a nice clean suburb full of rich old farts to attend polo tournaments on the foreshore, I want to see life, activities, street art, markets exhibition, lots of kids and young people, it makes me feel younger.
My 7 year old daughter is doing capoeira at the ampitheatre with her feet on the sand overlooking the sunset this Saturday to the sound of live Brazilian music, maybe we should stay home and watch the news instead, I heard that there was a couple of murders

Get out and enjoy your life
