You're being watched.

I've just heard from a reliable source that the Joondalup council are currently updating their system to handle kitesurfing complaints.
Apparently the complaints will be automatically distributed to the rangers on duty at the time.

So I'm sure no none needs it, but this is just a reminder to be on our best behaviour, forever, girls & boys; god knows we're a bunch of evil people that need to be watched constantly.

yup better watch those kiters all the time, silly bastards park their cars in the carparks so they can get broken into and all!

seriously im sure they could of spent that time and resources to make parking your friking car at the fricking beach less of a hassle/worry.

Be wise - rig/launch and land like you wanna kite forever - not cash in your chips coz you rushed to get out there.

Be considerate.

Also put yourself in other water/beach user's shoes and imagine what it's like to see a flotilla of (perceived) extreme/dangerous kites bearing down on YOU.. and act accordingly.

Watch out for other kiters and be active to assist.

Don't be a pseur tossbag and float a huge 'Look at moi' right next to a kn family in the shallows!! (it amazes me that this happens every kn windy day at Floreat kids beach).

If the above happens there should be very few genuine complaints (other than vexatious nongs) and we should be schweet.

If not.. well, it was good whilst it lasted.

I reckon the dw'er crew have been good this year. I do it pretty much every windy day and always seem to start off when everyone else does. I haven't noticed anyone going in close while there are peeps in the shallows at floreat.

Hope your right default.

I have only been getting out once a week but have seen it too often each sesh.

I know often there is no flags up when it's windy at Flozzer but we are talkin small kids that aint gonna be able to move in a hurry if some tool wipes out a landing or wave section.

I'd say 50% of riders go into the Flozzer comfort zone within 20m of punters (but not always showboating) and about 20% pull d!ck unneccesary moves right adjacent to kids/mums in very shallow water.

The DWer numbers are up and even tho it's only the minority being tools they may fk it for us or worse injure some poor kid/mum.

For those new to the area:

It's only 50-100m you need to avoid - right in front of Floreat surf club/cafe (with the kids shaded playground up top) - and you just need to stay out of the shallows (there are bouys about 100m out) for that section. Then it's game orn for the next +3kms (barring a similarly small stretch where most of the doggie peeps congregate).

It's not hard or very inconvenient to avoid the no-go spots at Floreat. Just takes a bit of thought for others trying to cool off with a splash at the beach.
