Alright so in december we are staying up at elliot heads. Has anyone camped here before and can suggest any places near the kitebeach. It would be good if we could just get up and see the water. If not and places nearby, Thanks

You'll be looking for somewhere near Mon Repos, or Moore Park. Both of those spots are kiteable on N/NE winds.

Elliott is doable on a NE, but only at low tide so you can launch/land/ride out the front, instead of back in the river.

If you have a 4x4, you could try Woodgate and head down to the N shore of the Burrum. I've done Theodolite Creek too, which would be great on a NE.

I guess it depends on your transport situation.

It's at the N end of Woodgate, which is about a 40min drive from Bundaberg.
