I planned to drive up to Exmouth for x-mas but was told that it should be stinking, full of flies, way too hot and no good wind.

Anyone that have been up there in that period and can advice?

christmas can be hit and miss for wind.
you could get nothing or you could get 25knots. there is no swell either at that time of year.
but it's still a great place to be if you're camping on the west side of the cape. the town side of the range is hotter

Stamps on to it but I would be betting on some wind at least.Over that week though I have always(12 years) had more days kiting than not. Typically the temp in town will be 20+ degrees hotter than the coast too.
