Has anyone tried this little fella?
Underground reckon that the extra flex looks after the chop, but I'm a bit dubious. I tried a 130 and it was a very loose skatey feel.
Looking to use it as my high wind board, any comments?

To hear your knee go POP ruins a kite trip !
Sucide leash's and onshore conditions are a interesting combination !

remember he's sponsored by underground so its likely that hes going to say they are awesome!

a guy at pelican point rides a 122 on caution kites, he rips pretty well.

Thanks Dan, I will give you a call when we've got a decent bit of wind.

i ride one myself, have used it both in flat water and in the waves. they are awesome. i have constant control, wicked pop. i can't say enough good things about them. i am pretty light, just under 17 kgs at the moment and with a 16m i can get going in just over 10 knots. try one they rock

You weigh just under 17kg and you ride a 16m in 10 knots? I take it you travel interstate a lot?

You can get a tool that does everything but it not going to do everything better
I like the idea of the flex for extra pop and to absorb some chop but it must be a touch slower through the water as a result?
Having said that I'll build extra flex into my next board just to experiment.

i just bought one for $850 new.... they are an awesome board, under 2kgs, light, and great on flat water for pop.... make sure you get the 50mm fins vice 40mm ones, that will solve the skate issue, if you think there is one

had a 122 for a little while now and its easily the most enjoyable board ive had. you can definately get away with a size smaller than you think you can :)

$950.... im unsure if this is the retail, probably RRP $900ish i would have guessed... all i can say is for what i paid for a brand new high performance board, vice 1200 - 1300 for some of the other brands i'm a happy chappy :)

Very tidy machine - the 122 FLX

If your 80 - 85kgs & ride in strong wind, it feels real neat.

If you buy one and don't like it in strong winds - i'd be suprised.

They look sweet too.

yeah they are awesome boards...early planing but also rides well in strong winds. I would have to agree with dachooper though...50mm fins may be the better option.
Definitely worth every cent.
Ill be at woodies tomorrow so if youre keen you can have a go...as long as your name isnt luke (he's got bad luck with my boards...especially yellow ones )
