Over the last week Ive been riding a proto Delta board on loan to me, in Windy conditions in Margaret River, my first thoughts was it was just another converted surfboard design, but to my suprise this board rode better in the waves and was more comfortable to ride than any other board especially in overpowered 6 foot surf. Im selling my old boards and ordering one of these straight away, Has anyone else rode one?

What size board were you riding? Are they producing these yet and what is the cost?

I have been riding one up here in Perth. Really nice to bottom turn and great down the line. I can't believe how well they handle the gusts - I expected to get blown off my line tacking up wind but they hang in there and point like a demon !

I have heard people say they are much better than the slingshot production wave boards - but I shouldn't comment to much as I have not tried the slingy board.

The one I was riding was a 5 foot 6. It is a pure kite specific surfboard with custom rails and rocker - the tail looks like an area pin. It can be ridden with or without straps - I prefer with.

I tried to post a couple of photos - but had an error with the server - if anyone would like to see them , e mail me and I will bounce them back.

Hi Simon, The board I rode was 5 foot 6 inches, double layer polyester glass, strong as nails (wouldn't want to jump them to much) they are producing them and there under $700 bucks. I just got off the water riding one in 30 knots with a slingshot 7.0 and every thing felt right.
