Just got back from Fiji, Great place.. great people...water temp is 26 plus celcius....wow!

Wind blew every arvo and plenty of places to go within 1 hour drive of the airport(near where i stayed).

Went to Natadola, Sigatoka and a few other spots.
Caught a day trip out to Mystery Island and the wind blew all day there...what a buzz..

The guy that took me around the place was a local who runs normal surfing tours but was stoked to see the sport. I gave him a quick go of the kite and he grinned from ear to ear....and vowed to come over and get lessons from Glen at Forster.

If anyone needs a guy to take 'em around fiji, this guy is highly recomnmened. Email me for his name and email.

With little to no planning, I made a half decent kiting holiday, with a bit of planning nearly anyone could have a great(inexpensive) holiday.

Thanks and ....yes you know what comes next!

Yep Thats right,

The visas are set and the Fijian Kitesurfing crew will be here shortly to train with Cross Shore.

Cross Shore is investing time and money into Ian and his crew of watermen to become Kitesurfers and Kitesurfing guides. The long term strategy is that there will be all year on the ground local support for Kitesurfers heading to Fiji with the combination of Cross Shore and Ian's long term Surfing Tour company. The basis is Local jobs for Local people in Fiji and help Tourism grow. Ian and his crew will bring valuable local safety and knowledge to the sport and Kitesurfing Tourism in Fiji. The ministry of tourism did an interveiw on us recently and you can check the article in the Fijian Times.

Hey Tonewolf, how was the Sheraton? I guess the information emailed to you from one of the Crew on our last Safari helped you enormously to find your way in Fiji.

If any one would like to know more about the project we are working on then please feel free to email or call.

Vinaka

The place we stayed was top notch.... but a bit pricey for your average kitesurfing holiday. I've seen other places close to Denaru that are significantly cheaper.!

I'd be up for it again next year.
