Once again here's a novice surf kiter question. I can optain a great deal on a new North Rhino 5 in a 20 or 18 sq. meter size. I just want to go out in negligeable winds and body drag.

Way too big mate. Get a 12m and go out in a bit more wind.

A huge kite like that is no learner kite.

waste of money even if its 50 bucks. proberley land you in hospital or New Zealand..
get a 12,13 or 14m.

yes 12m bow is a good starting point for beginners, you can body drag with it and ride when you get better.

maybe a 9m if your a light weight ( <65kg)

Thanks. I can pick up a new 9 meter for a rock bottom price, but I'm a heavy weight. However, I might buy it for my ice kiting.

I've known a few people who kite on ice. personally I prefer the choof. but each to their own. get high and fly.

yeah 9 is good in water too, im round 76 78 n i pin myn down in 30.. ppl round the 90s can easily ride them over 20 25ish i guess.
