Hey Ice,
I got some Ozone Instincts, I'd read a lot of good stuff about them, C kite feel, but Bow kite depower, no pulleys, which appealed to me. The last C kites I had were 2003 naish's. The foils were a huge step forward and made my progession heaps easier.
I'm pretty happy with the ozones, I've never been able to boost as high on any other kite, and I'm getting more into wave kiting where the faster turning speed really makes a difference. I like the solid feel of an inflatable too.
On the flip side, they take up way more room than the foils, take 15 minutes more packing and unpacking per session, they don't reverse relaunch.
Economics were another reason, secondhand Ozones were a lot cheaper than new Flysurfers.
I still love my Flysurfers, my friends fly the Pulse when I'm introducing them to kiting, the Speed 10 has had some restoration work done, after a hard life it wasn't as waterproof as it once was, and a bit of bridle tweaking brought it back to life. I love flying the Speed when it's in its 'sweet spot', but when it's powered up sometimes it was scary or a bit dangerous if other kiters were around, crazy overpowered speed run style. Intense kite! The Instincts are a lot easier to "turn off". I like that.
My 17m Speed is in the for sale section, I think I need something just a bit smaller, a 13m Speed1 would be great.....Or maybe a 15 or 12m Speed2, 13m P3.....hmmmm
Ultimately, I love flying a big kite and hooning along the water on a board of some kind, I've got a pretty open mind about what kite and board that could be, I'll give anything a try....

Thanks Tobes
What about bar pressure on the Instinct?
I really like the low bar pressure on the Speed. The Bows and Hybrids I have demo'd generally have had high bar pressure.

The bar pressure is like the Speed on normal setting. I had my 10m Speed set on Hard+1 and it felt harder than the Instinct. See if you can demo an 11m.
I should explain this for everyone else, one of the cool things about Flysurfers is there are 5 settings for bar pressure so you can adjust it to suit your taste.
