I took my non-kiting brother out for a body drag on the weekend (he hung onto the handle on my harness while I gave him a rapid arm extension) and when we stopped so he could find his shorts (I did warn him about that!), an upwind kite luffed and fell near him. He asked if there’s any standard thing we should call out if a kite is about to fall on someone, like FORE! in golf. I had to admit I didn’t know, so I said I’d ask and give him a link to this thread.

No Screaming Be polite something like ....
"Ahum ... Excuse me .. you folks down there.
You may want to duck your heads, rather quickly, for a moment or two whilst my kite enters that area you are frequenting."

I find polite always gets a positive response .

"HEADS UP!" would be a good start for a common warning call; it's commonly used when working aloft or in logging and felling etc.

The term is part of our language, as slang, for a warning... ie, "if you see someone coming, give me a heads up"...or, "if my kite is luffing, I'll give everyone the heads up"
