Yep! right on the money Reli the new Edge RX. I have ordered a 13m and 11m. Can't wait to get em on the water. I loved the 07, the 08 was a big improvement on that and now, 09, new bar....4 lines ....Nice new graphics..... it will be like getting my virginity back but with a much better idea in how to get the most out of losing it.

Rusty & Rhys: please make sure you let us know what you think of the 09s.. I have an 08 Edge 11 (currently dragging around Cambodia with me, not finding any onshore wind ) and am considering trading for the 09 depending on reviews and if there's any jobs left by the time I get over to Perth.

So I'm pretty keen to hear some real opinions about how they feel & perform compared to the 08s.

The only downside I have heard so far is a fatter leading edge to hold the shape without the 5th, therefore more pumping up.. hope it's not too much bigger coz I love the tiny amount it takes to pump up the current ones.

I don't think you are the only one to blame for the "lack of wind". I am on holidays for the first time since April 2007. I only have one week off and the outlook is not good

If one of you with the new kites could kindly fly one of them into some rocks or into a tree or something that should appease the kite Gods and bring back some good wind. I know it sounds pretty drastic, but sack up and do it for the rest of Queensland. I am sure everyone will be most grateful.

Are you guys for real?

We've had wind, strong wind, relentlessly strong wind. Wind everyday for months, constantly blowing, howling strong wind, not stopping for more than a single day.

Jesus how can we be expected to cope with this much wind, our bodies aren't built to take this abuse, we need a rest. Dammit stop the wind for just a couple of days, it's friggen cruel I tell ya! I swear to god, if it blows for just one more day I'm gonna, ........ I'll, ......... I guess I'll just go kiting again

It is a bit difficult to test the new 11m kites though

Good winds, (at least over here )

OOOOHHHHH MYYYYYY GOOOOOD!!!!!!
Better than losing your virginity Rusty...

Just rode the 11m Sport + for a few hours... I'd still be out there if I wasn't goin to the Cable park later.

WHAT A KITE!!!!!!!
We test rode it against an 11m Rev 2 in about 15-17 knots... 70kg rider and 60kg rider...

Basic Rundown:
It was slower than the Rev in the turns... Certainly not a turning machine. But it had waaaay more power, insane Hangtime, and its just unbelievable from the moment you unhook. Jumps are nice and high with plenty of float for the freerider guys.
Kiteloops are full of gut wrenching goodness, and underloop turns are FUN AGAIN!!!!

The bar is cool, I like the Square bit in the middle. I like the new tophat on the Chicken loop, its bigger and works well. Didn't try the below the bar safety, It looks good though...

Tiny bridle works well, kite nice and crisp in the hands but as i said before, Turns like a wake kite...

SO IM STOKED!!!!! Can't wait to get my hands on the 9m Tomorrow...
BEST BIRTHDAY KITE EVER!!!!
