I did an all nighter with a mate last night and stayed up till 6 just to catch the predicted 20 knots of wind there was meant to be in the morning.. We pumped up at elwood beach in the dark still slightly wasted and waited in the freezing dark for the wind. It eventually came and we got 10 minutes of kiting in it was the best session ever. So pure. Then the wind left for the rest of the day. But i was stoked to have known that i we caught the only 10 minutes of kiteable wind in like the past week! What a way to end a bender..Its all about commitment baby. I still beleive! What do u reckon? Has anyone done something similar?

The first time I managed a full rotation learning backrolls was the same morning I spewed on myself mid-tack. Does that count?

Commitment award goes to green pat for spewing mid tack. I cant really empathise with poor relative as i myself have never been and dont intend to get married. But yeah i can sort of understand as my bro is battling with his marriage.

Go Kitegrom!!

That is sort of thing that seperates the men from the boyZ! dedication I like It!

See the thing is... as carbine may or may not relise is that with your entusiasm and the will to make the most of every moment this sort of thing will make you if not already a far better kiter than all these old timmers. And he is right you will do this and wont have to try to hard.

Just sking up for the youth carbie

Luke.

What try hard is.

Getting smashed, then going kiting at 6am then bragging about it on the forums like you deserve some kind of medal.

Hold up...! Re ee eee e e wind! Who says im bragging? I am simply relating a profound experience. It seems like carbine posses an ill attitude towards sharing. Remember Carbine.. sharing is caring.

Secondly, if i am to be labeled a bogan for doing an all nighter and going for a freezing early morning kite then so be it. "Bogans unite" is the call heard among the hills. "Bogans unite and claim what is rightfully yours!"

Only commitment I can see being shared on this thread is the one of people committed to making idiots of them selves though flaming the usual rubbish on others whom enjoys the sport as well as the use of the forum to share their experiences...

Good for you dude you love the sport and want to share it with others... Isn’t this one reason why we post on the forum? As for the small minded kiddies grow up - even if your age is as low as 20 try to come across without the same IQ level.

Anyhow off my podium

My commitment was while learning... and that was before I got fully addicted… Was a 4 hour session of trying to stay on the board and was drinking so much salt water by the end I was burping the stuff out almost to the point of barfing ! Least I had clean sinuses for the next day’s session which I like to think I had remarkably improved upon

mmmm nice! It would be interesting to note the health effects of drinking raw salt water in such quantities. I hear that the africans do it to "cleanse" their bodies of impurities. Wow this sport just gets even more healthier, doesnt it.

Really? I didn’t know that, fantastic, another angle I can use to get my g/f to go for the saline solution breast implants , not only will it give her air bags for the face plants while out kite surfing but if they burst it's going to be good for her health! Yeah baby now that’s what I call a committed relationship

saline implanted breasts should definately be promoted as a surgically implanted first aid kit... you get a nasty cut somewhere? just burst a booby and cleanse away! nice!!
