www.bom.gov.au for the average wind conditions - easiest way to do it is search on "wind roses" in the bom site

Hi

There are no wind roses from the BOM site for Forster Tuncurry but here is the Link for Port Macquarie for December. Port Macquarie is 1 hour North Of Forster and has similiar climate.

Link: www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/climate/cgi_bin_scripts/windrose_selector.cgi

Here is a link from Weather Underground of the wind history for Decmeber 2006: www.wunderground.com/history/station/95778/2006/12/20/MonthlyHistory.html

Here is the Link for kiteboarding Locations Forster area: www.xshore.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=5&Itemid=40

Bringinging a 11m bow kite should serve you well and if you would like to pack light then Cross Shore have a nice range of current gear for hire including boards, kites (various sizes)and harnesses.

Also check our events calendar as the Santa Downwinder is on the 15th of December: www.xshore.com.au/index.php?option=com_events&task=view_detail&agid=23&year=2007&month=12&day=15&Itemid=40

Hope to see you and ride at Christmas and please call to find out all the up to date local information on arrival.

Regards

Glen

ill be there from boxing to new years and a bit after

What is a cool suburb to stay in that has access to some happening local spots for kiting and beer drinking related activities.

anyone know of a place for rent that would sleep up to 10 people?

I went to gerroa last year and it was kinda sleepy, nice kiting at weri beach though.

Uncle Rico,

If you want to get in the thick of it then try one of the real estate agents in Forster for a House at Tuncurry Beach or Forster. Tiona is also good to stay but you would want to book now and consider it is 20 minutes South of Forster in the beuatiful Wallis Lakes. Prevailing wind will be NE with a chance of SE also.

If you would like to chase great kitesurfing conditions then Black Head / Halidays Point ios a great seaside village to stay in witht the back beach just around the corner - my favourite wave spot and good for SW, SE, S, NE winds.

Check our site for more locations and give us a call when you get here for local information.

Cheers

Glen
