Whats with freestyle kiters thinking freeride guys are bad kiters? Are they just all that. Please advise on this.

Really surfing got rid of that attitude years ago sponsors got smart. Who wants to see some wancer talk down to you doing anything. Does the freestyle community of kiters maybe think that this is what we want to aspire to and can't. Please speak out I want to know.

Whats with freeriders thinking freestyle kiters are just a bunch of arrogant show off "wancers" are they just that angry and small minded that they cant just have fun and go and do their thing freeriding and let the freestylers have fun too and do their stuff too? why do they always have to bitch and moan just because someone else is having fun and enjoying being out on the water.
i cant say i can think of any local kiters around here that would just be rude and talk down to you on the beach just because they think that they are a better kitesurfer than you.

prof if people are being rude to you on the beach there might be more behind it that just your kiting level. admittedly i dont know you. but i do know allot of kitesurfers that like to try a little freestyle out on the water and 99% of them are great people!

Freestyle, Freeride... What's the difference ? Nothing... It's the same disciplin if your an amature in the sport... If your not getting paid & making a living off your riding skills, then your an amature...

There are quite a few sponsored riders in WA and not to mension the rest of the country... I cant speak for the rest of the country but the guys in Perth are good people, that goes for the unsponsored riders that I've met also...

I'm not as good a rider as the local top boyz, the Rat", Ry, Dale, Damo, Jake, Simon, Rawsons etc but I'm not a kook either... If your passionate about the sport you would'nt give a **** who's cool or not, the whole sport is cool. Sure there's the guys who ware full wet suits, the guys who wear boardies over their wettys (I'm one of them), the guys who wear all the safety gear imaginable, there's the guys who rip and push it on a daily basis, the guys who just want to cruise and the guys like myself who are in between... I've ridden with all sorts and have finished the day off completely nackered and forfilled having a beer with guys like you and me, the ones who realy are passionate about this sport...

Hunglika, do you wear boardies over your nitrous shorts?

As a kook, I reckon one of the good things about kiting is that (unlike surfing), the guys who rip (like Damo) don't have their heads up their arses.

Dead Rite HungLong. the sport is made up of so many great people, if someone does have a go at you it generally isnt because of your kite'n Style or abilty...

Hey relo',

those g-string wetsuits... are they available in a 3x4, coz I'd hate to be caught freezing my nuts off

it's a state of mind. sometimes i launch and after a few runs i reckon i'm just going to ride., and then the next day there's no way i'm just going to ride, today i'm going to style it! but yesterday a guy told me he liked my style and today someone complimented me on my riding.
moral....it takes someone else to judge.
but...if it feels good do it..................yahooo

PR that was a gramatical error.

when you wrote "most think I'm a Twat"

should have been "most think it's a twat"

Azza ; stop foolen around and do those 5th line attachments for my Airblast

At my age being flexible enough to reach the board with one hand is FREESTYLE.

I am sure this posting came about from some narrow minded magazine.

I met Paul J and the bin crew when i started kiteing, and personally found it to be a refreshing change to meet such approachable, and helpful people.

For a KOOK like me its nice to know there's always someone with more experience watching your back, and willing to give a hand.

As for Paul J i have found him to be extremely helpful and he's always willing to give a hand, be it landing the odd kite or giving free pointers (remember this is how the man make a living)

Further i don't think that it's appropriate that some individuals feel that this forum was created to vent there personal issues with other people.
