Just had my first born on Friday, Elara Lily Swaine. I have already started training her kitesurfing motor skills, using my finger as a bar and blowing wind on the back of her head.

Anyway im super stoaked, and to those guys watching your kid being born, a word of caution... their heads are coneshaped when they come out... Nobody told me this, and I seriously thought my kid was deformed!

Congratulations Echo. I'm only just in front of you. Got my son Alex into it as early as possible. 3 months old and already reading the bible.

Oh, and Reli isn't kidding about the sleepless nights unfortunately.

Check my Avatar pic, my one was about 3-4months when that pic was taken and already doing pops and ralleys, even though help by a big metal spring.

Congrats on the new born, welcome to father hood with sleepless nights, pooie nappies , less kitesurfing and the best smiles that make it all worth it you will do it all over again.

You'll love it.

Cheers
Rich

Hey Echostorm,

Congratulations mate,

I too have girls one 3 years going on 16, and one 4 months. If I'd have known before she was born, I would have said to you enjoy your last sleep in, enjoy your last coffee in a cafe, enjoy your last movie at the cinemas and your last restaurant feed.

Aside from that, it's one of lifes great joys and as Reli said, stresses. Oh and by the way, your missus is likely to get a little feral with lack of sleep for the next 3-4 months, just roll with it.

Have fun with her,

good winds,

Check my aviator My son is well into training now...He learnt how to say kite at a real young age..But it sounded like Cock instead of kite..So ironed that out quick...
In summer i take him on Noble skim and push him around the shallows..He loving it.
And welcome to less kiting due to more important dad duties

Congrats, it is life changing but worth all the effort, we had a baby boy 9 months ago, I managed to convince my wife that Reuben was a great name, so Reuben he is. Now all that remains is the skill to go with it, Iam prepared to put the hard yards in to get him there even it means I 'll have to kite even more. Its all in the name of fatherhood.

Congrats Mike - Elara's a great name.

My 2 girls (Tilly 4yrs and Charlotte 3yrs) are already dead keen on kitesurfing - and already showing better skill than me on the little trainer kite. Yeah life changes, and it can sometimes be harder to get out for session, but its all worth it and before you know it they'll be pumping up your kite for you.
