Hi there,

I currently ride on a 2009 Cabrihna Xbow 13m. I am inbetween beginner and intermediate 215lbs and 6,1'' I looking for a smaller kite for stronger wind, thinking of GK V-sonic vsonic 8m.

Anybody have comments on GK kites on Vsonic?

Cheers

Charley

great kite. looks a bit funny in the air but who cares. i used the 8m in 30-35 knots for about an hour when they first came out, i was very impressed.

pros;
the leading edge camel toe makes it rotate up on its own when relaunching, so the relaunch is basically automatic
very fast forward speed
quick enough turning, not ridiculous like a 7m bandit, just right for an 8m kite
gigantic wind range - i had the feeling that i could hold this kite up to 40 knots and i'm only about 65kg
boosting machine. absolutely rockets you up there.
construction is typical good quality GK stuff, ever since 07 their leading edge and frame construction has been top notch.

cons;
hangtime isn't brilliant, it will shoot you up and then drop you if you don't steer it through the descent, much like any other 8m kite i guess.
looks funny in the sky
you'll get camel toe jokes

overall a great kite, i would have bought one but i just couldn't afford it at the time. still fly the 8m sonic from 07 for those high-wind days.
