I'm picking up my new 11m REV this afternoon - who says there is no wind when you buy a new kite.

Every time I get new kites there's wind......not sure if that means anything?

Damn Queenslanders. Go on, rub it in!

Atleast we got some southerly wind on wednesday to say farewell to daylight saving and goodbye afterwork kite sessions.

Prob the last time I'll get to use my 9m til next season.

Did anyone else get out in that storm? Mt gambier way it would have been 3m weather but over west here it was do-able. Squals up to 40knts with holes down to 15knts.

Damn people from other states, we dont get daylight savings so we NEVER get after work kite sessions (unless you got a good arse job near the beach with early finish times)

My vote for daylight savings, c'mon QLD, learn what is good!

Thought I had jinxed myself today - I worked away from the coast this week and flew into Brissie this arvo, landing at 2pm. No worries I thought, plenty of time to get back home and have a kite.......

.....traffic jams, accident on the highway etc etc etc, only got back home at 5pm- shot down to the beach with the new REV - stuffing all the foamy packing bits into my boardies pocket - quick self launch - the wind had dropped to a perfect 15 to 20 for the 11m REV and my 137 Cardboards Tempo. Kited at Mudjimba for about 1/2 an hour just staying upwind until some mates kited past me and I joined them on a sunset downwinder until dark - no body else out and nobody on the beach.

Peace

it may be the windiest place and it is also the most uncrowded.

Did a downwinder yesterday - absolutely perfect condition saw no other kites except 3 of us
today did 2 runs at kawana - noone else to be seen all avo -

has everyone packed away their kites for winter ??????
