Yep bring both average winds along the east Coast at that time of year are in the 10-35 knots range. Buy a board here and sell it in Melbourne before you leave.

If you can only bring one,,bring the 12m and just hang on tight on stronger days
You will get more use out of the 12 than the 9,maybe,dpends on the wind gods.

You might miss a few nuking days if you only have the 12m, but , you will have alot more underpowered days if you only have the 9m. Did that make sense???
Are f@ck it,,,,,bring them both

If the kites are both bone dry and you stuff them into the one bag they won't weigh much and are only one thing to carry. I guess the problem with the UK is nothing is ever bone dry.

Hi Hoggyuk,

unroll both kites, lay the 9m over the 12 and then fold the who kites together in half, then in half again. Remove all fins and straps off your board and wrap the board in bubble wrap and wrap the kites around the board, then slide it into a single board bag. Bring the biggest bar only, don't bring the pump buy it here.

You should easily fit two kites and one board into a single board bag. Then just stuff the bar in. If you have any room left, remove the spreader from your harness and lay it flat then stuff it in the board bag too. Keep the spreader, fins and footstraps in your other baggage.

Definately bring both kites. East coast weather is changeable.

Hey guys thanks for all your help on this. What am going to do is roll up my 12m and stick it into
my suit case along with harness and 1 bar. I've not got a board bag.
I would love to take both kites but my lass has took most of the space in my case as well as having her own suit case haha. As for the board and pump I'll buy them and sell them when I get to Melbourne.
We are thinking about moving out their some where that's the idea of this trip to see where we want to live. Also to find some good windy places haha sssshh haha
1more thing what about wetsuits will I need 1 across their I no it's not really hot at the minute but it's got to be warmer than the uk haha

If you want wind, you might want to tack a visit to WA onto the end of your trip

Just avoid Mullaloo for the time being!

Hey mate,

Leave the handbrake at home and bring the extra kite. Plenty of friendly kiting ladies here in Perth. You'll be guaranteed to get twice as much kiting in, with half the hassle.
