ok, so i know everyone gets old and change their opinions. Its also no secret that i am super happy with the new Era from royal, but then you see this guy Poul

and wonder if your style has changed and hope that that bloke is really really good and not that the kites are designed for oldies!

Is that my knees i hear clicking? hang on, will turn up my hearing aid and check again.

But in that pic of the 83yo, he is using a Cabrinha (bar at least).

Nothing wrong with getting older, its awesome someone 83 can enjoy the sport, because the ease and safety inherent in bow kites like the Cabs.

Cya and

hahaha, i should've known steve would pick that out.

Good to see your eyes haven't gone yet?

i'd hazard a guess and say that Poul likes to fly his ERA using his previous cabrinha bar cause thats what he's used to. LOL.

Yep that aint' the door closing, it's my knees when I bend down!

I thought I was the biz taking up the sport in my mid 30's and then early last season I'm prepping on the beach for a session thinking "whew looks pretty choppy and gnarley out there - better go a bit easy". Then I see a guy cranking on a bow with a 151 LF board and he's doing super smooth transitions etc like it is a glassy day.

I am just about ready to launch when the guy walks past having taken his helmet off - and he's bl00dy late 50's - 60 yrs old!!! Crikey!!

Made me extract the digit and get amonst the action that day and from there on I can tell ya!

Playing with the orientation of one of my straps has helped my problem knee enormously. Don't assume both of ya stumps are symetrical.

Experiment, load up on the glucosmine and go for it old boy!!

After years of getting smashed up wavesailing, I was looking for a alternative sport that I could keep doing into my twilight years. When I saw that a guy as old and decrepid as Steve could still kite, I knew instantly that I'd found my new sport. Thanks Steve.

Been on a omega fish oil and glucosmine for the past two months and what a difference.

I am able to run again(circa 7km) and do two kite sessions in one day. My knees still throb a little, but the pain has gone and my legs feel stronger.

I know it doesn't work for everyone, but for $30 and a couple of months to test is well worth it.

Took at least a month for me. Everyone is different though and while some people says its the bees knees others say its not so great.

I bought a dual pack or some other special offer for $40,

brand: pharmacist formula natural

fish oil 1000mg - for cholesterol, arthritis, eczema, circulation and inflamed joints(is what it says on the container)

glucosamine 1500 - for osteoarthritis(is what it says on the container)

the two combined have worked for me, knees feel much better and surprisingly(or maybe not) so do my ankles/shoulders etc. it seems to aid in the recovery somehow.
