Hi, I'll be on the Gold Coast next Thursday from the UK for 5 weeks. I'm trying to find out the do's and don'ts of the area for kitesurfing, if there are any clubs I need to get in contact with? And does anyone know the average wind speeds this time of year, I've got a limmited amount of baggage allowance and strugling to decide what size kites to bring with me. Any information greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Fay

Hi Fay,
Our winters aren't flash on the goldie. We do get wind its mostly SW SE winds. As for wind strengh, u will get away with 12m for most days other than that bring a 9m if u can aswell.
Just ask the locals when you see some as to where u shouldn't kite. If you see a bunch of kiters at a spot go indtroduce yourself. We do have some restrictions. We do have a club and there will be a BBQ in a few weeks (i Think) at Loaders Creek in labrador. Just keep checking seabreeze.
Hope this helps u out abit.
See you on the beach somewhere.

Cheers
