On Saturday I decided to risk it and do a down winder...half way through the wind was going from 16 knots to 40 knots, to cut a long story short I ended up on the back of a boat, Paulio found my board and left it on a house boat as he was unable to carry it back. After folding my kite up, floating back to shore, then walking 2kms back to KFC kite point, Paulio and I went to te boat ramp and I asked some random jet skier to get my board from the house boat, he was waiting for his mates to show up....this Quiksilver Pro 4X4 pulls up and Kelly Slater and a mate got out and walked up to the guy that we had been talking to...the guy that I had asked to get my board was Trevor Hendy and he was meeting my mate Kel...I was a bit annoyed that Kel had not rung me to let me know he was going jetskiing...A very eventful day in the cyclonic weather on the Gold Coast.....as for sunday you can ask Paulio, paul.j or Ange about the jumping pin adventure.

Sat was awsome never seen Mick light up a 'smoke' so soon when gettin off the water,Steve! that old dude that owns the boat you jumped on still has nightmares 'about the pirate' that sunk his tender, Benny boosted so high that a brown treacle was seen running down his leg at the apex of the jump, AAAhhhh what a d'winda.

Today was a a great bonding sess with Steve,Paul and Angie. There was a hint of 'The Titanic Movie' at several stages, we only came accross one other vessel on the trip and that was the coastguard (i think theres an underlying msg there somewhere). There was talk about all gettin naked and cuddling for warmth, burger rings were for lunch and thoughts of family went through most minds. Pauli went out first (and last) and within 3minutes after several huge jumps came back to the boat with bloodshot eyes (which iv never seen him without) and that was the end of our kiteing today.

P.S The water is still draining from the boat, next time guys "il call you" LOL

Went down to the bar at Caloundra on Saturday to find some guys riding the waves a looong way out. They were all riding surf boards with 5,7 or 9m kites and catching some sizeable waves. Most got worked at some stage though!

Yeah. I saw Paulio doing his downwinder on Saturday. He went past the grand hotel about 7 metres in the air. Funny thing was, his nan was holding on to his ankle singing out "Don't go Paulio, Don't go"

The best thing was every time he dropped towards the water on his teabagging journey, his nan's legs would hit the water first which would slow him down a bit. This would cause the kite to power up and up they both went again and again.

You should have listened to your nan Paulio.
