Heading over to Rottnest this Weekend for some kiting, What are the good beaches to kite on? Eg launching and wind (Seabreeze )

Awesome spot. Semi flat on the inside and bombies out back. Had a 3hr 27kt sesh all to myself last summer. Bit of a worry not having any witnesses even on the beach if something went pair-shaped, but oh well.

Take a very good look at the bay from the top of the dunes 1st as there is heaps more sneaky rocks in shallows than it looks intitially.

Landing launching can be gusty as all hell - be ready to pull ya quick release or yank onya 5th line...

Save a few kilojules for the ride home (into a headwind most likely).

last bus back 4.43 pm at the salmon bay bus stop

Hire a kids buggy or a dive trailer with a bike. Perfect for carting ya gear around. Last bus at 4.45 spoils the fun a bit.

Rock on til sundown and then try riding back into a headwind with your gear/board acting as a wind anchor - that will sort the men from the lads

Don't mean to pick on you GF, but you are seriously riding the wrong way to get home if you are riding into a headwind from Salmon Bay!

i'm staying at rottnest on a boat so riding anywhere shouldn't be a problem
i'll be there between the 1st and 7th of march hope the winds good that time of year.

wind will be a lot less then but if you have a rescue boat for the unexpected on a cross/offshore wind there are a lot of options open:
transit, radar, stark, cathedrals, bullets, natural jetty
