The area of the Bar and adjacent to the Bar between South and North Stradbroke Islands.

Boat or JetSki needed to get there.

Will be the spot to be this weekend.

Hmmmmm lets see.... We could bring as many Dolly, Cosmo, the odd KBM for inspiration, i-pods, any other gadgets, and a whole pile of yummy snacks and the girls can sit in the car and enjoy! Now that's a plan

Safety wise, esp. in any W'ly winds, esp. offshore conditions like just W'ly, SW, S'ly and slightly SE'ly, they need to know their safety system. Too many kiters just seem to let their kite drag them on an endless journey downwind, keep trying to relaunch the kite, and don't 'pull it in'! I'm not aware of who the kiter is, but I am sure that thanks to this windsurfer, the kiter was able to come back to land safely. Thanks to the many windsurfers who I hear frequently rescue a kiters's board, grab their kite, or assist them in some way. I am sure it's much appreciated.

Nice to read about wind in Wello.

Nothing in WA whatsoever....the only people flying are the para-gliders....just sitting up there in there seats checking out the scene....nice weather though.

I'm looking forward to see The Pin someday, and Cairns also.

Fitzy, those days when you go looking for wind can be fun too.

Almost too good to be true. I reckon it'll change before the weeknd gets here.

Ah.... that was me.. ElizabethB (and no I'm not a rapper dude) - chicken loop detached near the end of my 2nd session ... looks like I will have to finally attach that 5th line setup, now if I could get someone to help configure it... Guess I will hit Fitzy up or some of the other guys for their expertise next time I see them at Loders or Shearwater.

Many many thanks to the English chap that stopped to rescue my kite and offer to take it in as I had to deflate due to lines tangling around me... I lived in the Redlands for 10 years and have actually windsurfed with this guy off the pier a few times a couple of years ago... he was my jump buddy as it seems that everyone else windsurfing these days is into speed alone! Maybe he recognised me after he stopped to help as I didn't get the chance to thank him after the swim and aqua aerobics to get back to shore as he was already packed up and gone...

Anyway nice to join the once familar Wello crew again after moving to the Gold Coast at end of last year and a big thanks to Justin from the Windsurfing Wanderers Club for the free sausage sizzle and drinks.... so awesome to have a way we can all meet socially and get to know each other better! Look forward to the next club activity....
