They discontinued the REO for this season (apparently after dwindling sales) and Ryland will in fact be riding the Edge from now on. In recent reports he said,
Ryland said... "I'm stoked that I can join my long time friends and kite buddies Dan Anderson and Dale Stanton on the river with my new found passion in kite racing. I've got big things planned for this year so keep your eyes peeled and tell the big guys I'm coming for them".


Although it's a strange thing to picture, I can only assume that one too many pickled Emus from sitting in a hot WA car have cooked his think tank.

Just gonna put it out there as most people would be thinking it...

Did Ryland and Ben have a domestic dispute? It was all BWS BWS BWS.. Then all Rylands BWS kites appeared for sale and the love affair was over. Kaput.

Was this just 'mutual uncoupling' like Gweneth Paltrow and Chris Martin?

Look how quick everyone loves to flame and I am happy to call a dick a dick but...

I dont know Ryland personally but see him all the time out kiting. He is a great bloke and awesome kiter. He was a great ambassador for Ben Wilson who has done more for progressing Kite Surfing that most and will be an awesome pickup for Ozone.

He will always rip waves better than most and if he is going to Kite Racing, you can bet that sport is going to be going places.

It's good too stay true too yourself and your opinions. That's what really makes keeping it real, real. Not your next DEAL, which in turn leads you too bat for whatever side will hook you up. No mater how much exposure n what mates you have... Keep it real if you can.. It's a personal choice!
