Planning a two week trip to the Greek islands(Mikinos, Los and Santorini)in August.

Thinking about taking a kite(12m). Anyone know if there's any wind there that time of year, been and done any there or know of any good places to kite over there???

Nothing like a mid morning kite to wash away the hangover...

I was in the islands last August, there was lots of wind.

On Santorini the best spots are near the airport so I think there are restrictions, but it was blowing 20-25kts most days

On Naxos I went to the windsurfers spot and it was real windy 30-35kts, messy ocean chop conditions. The guy who ran the school didn't have any small kites so I hired a windsurfer, was overpowered on a 4.5m, it is hard to go back to!

If you do a search on kiteforum for Naxos or Greek Islands there is some good info.
