Yes Green Island is always 10 to 15 knots higher then Cairns area but it is not a good setup. No resonable beach area and surrounded by reef. Do not try in a low tide! Windsurfers like it but have not heard good things from kiters.

Quite apart from the Noahs, Qld in the north is full of ravenous salt water biterpussreptiles who also attack when the music is playing.

Cya and

Goodwinds

I have ridden green island 2 x and it is good
the boat ride is 45 mins and costs around $50

the best place to ride is on the eastern tip

but be aware of the tides it is too shallow on a low tide less than .9m

also the wid meter is 30 m up so take off 5 kts to get a more accurate reading.

we took 50 riders there for kiteweek 2004 but absolutley no wind

but its a cool place to snorkle etc

if you go it is best to take your own rescue boat as if you have a swim the next land it new guinea...

best foracst to ride it is 20kts

have fun bruce
