A hang gliding friend recently had a close encounter with a kiter at Long Reef. He was attempting to land on the beach in front of the golf course. There was a guy with a kite caught in a tree near by. Apparently it made his landing difficult. No casualties fortunately. The hang gliders have council permission to land on the beach there so please give them space.

and shotgunners please do not mistake hangliders for skeet.
