Hurricane Ike about to make landfall right over the top of the busiest port in the USA (Galveston), their main oil processing area, and then move inland over Houston, their 4th biggest city.

Very large Cat 3 storm, gusts to 175km/h, eye is 40nm wide, sea levels already 3m above normal and they expect a 6.5m storm surge.

I see you one hurricane flooding an island in Texas and raise you two cataclysmic weather events just across the sea in Cuba, killing hundreds and devastating whole villages.
It is a lot more satisfying to watch the SUV's get blown over though...
