After weeks of anticipation I finally spent my first day off in Perth last week. It was Thursday (9/9). I don't think it dropped under 20 knots all day. Stoked. I spent the day at Safety Bay. And everyone reckons the wind isn't even here yet. I think I'm going to enjoy living here.

Big cheers to all the locals who were there and said g'day. True to form for most kiteboarders I've met elsewhere everyone one was very friendly and helpful.

Bring on the windy season. My next day off is Tuesday the 28th. Hopefully it will be windy and hopefully I'll get to meet a few more of you nice people.

Hooray,

Green Pat

So much for that idea. I'm off again everyone. It's been a pleasure. I'll probably come back in a couple of years time.

I'll be here for a bit more of the season though, I'll get to mid January or so before I have to shoot through. Seems a bit silly to move over here for the wind and not see a season out, but sometimes a dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do.

Cheerio.

I'll be in town this weekend for my 5 day weekend (Thursday to Monday), then I shall next be in town from the 13th of January until I drive off, whenever that may be. Probably the first day without decent wind. Hmmm, mid-January, I might be hanging around for a while. Anyway I'll be up for some mayhem at some stage, we'll just have to see what's happening at the time. Perhaps someone would like to show me around Fremantle in the later evening one night, I haven't really seen much of it yet?

Did you find somewhere to stay?

Visiting Perth again, WOOT! Will be there Monday for three weeks. Not much point this time of year for kiting but it's one of my favourite spots on the planet so am well excited.

Then thinking I might try get out of Africa, move there and give a proper effort at settling in for some serious kiteboarding. It warms the cockles of the heart just thinking about it

Hey Punchy you still around?

Ahhhh, perfect spelling as usual! What does "woot" mean? :)) hehehe.

You're gonna be hanging out for a while for wind here by the looks of things.

Monday is 'Foundation Day' which apparently celebrates someone finding us. We were all so happy that we made it a Public Holiday. If you have the time then drop in for a yarn from Tuesday on.....

cheers

That's a good question. We all know what it means, but does anyone know what it is an acronym of?

Anyway to more important matters, I've just landed and gone to our office and I can see Pelican Point from here!!! Am imagining a perfect world where work hours finish at 15 knots, kites visible through the window indicate time to leave. All I have to do is make the move permanent.

Didn't bother bringing any kites over this trip, wrong time of the year I know. But if I lay some groundwork now I could have something to come back to in time for the end of this or the start of the next season...
