Hi Guys,

I would love to come over and do a course for you but I am totally committed for March, April and also most of May. There are peeps in Gold Coast and also Mackay/Townsville making noises about starting an Instructor training course.

I reckon a good time for a Sydney course would be October as at least then you might get some nice Southerlies and maybe the odd Nor'easter.

Maybe Steve McC from Kitepower could contact me and we could finalize a date, that way everyone would have plenty of time to organise their schedule and get the required courses under their belts. You need first aid and also a boat drivers license for your state. The course runs for 5 days

Prerequisites are on here www.kiteboardingschool.com.au/courses.htm and also here http://www.ikorg.com/pro_career.php?menu_id=3

Let me know and lets see if we can work something out.

Good winds,

Hey Kitecrazy,

A level 3 kiteboarder is someone who can ride upwind, jump and transition in a good variety of wind strengths. You need to have been kiting at least 6 months.

Good winds,

Just let me know your availability Darren, I am willing to run another ITC this year. Last years ran well from the upstairs section of the shop, don't see any problem doing it again.
Will announce details here on the forum once darren and I have a date set.

Cya and

Hi Robecq,

Exactly, what about Melbourne? To my knowledge there has not been an IKO Instructors course in Melbourne period. Nor is there any IKO affiliated centres.

I am happy to run a course anywhere so long as we get enough people to make it worth everyones time and effort. We need to get between 5 and 8 people (preferably 8) and they all need First Aid, Boat drivers license etc (see ikorg.com for exact requirements) so maybe put thew word out and gather some interested parties and then we can start looking at a date. Otherwise, make the short jaunt up to Sydney and join in the Sydney course in Octoberish.

I'm all for safer instruction in Melbourne, I get little other thanhorror stories of near accidents and actual accidents from Melbourne and it would be great to make a change for the better. Saving one life would be worth the course.

Good winds,
