Well as the new season gets closer and closer, and the winter fronts start becoming more popular.
It's time for me to get a new kite, my 06 fuel 9m not only isn't big enough but is starting to fall to pieces... lots of rips from hard crashes (no trees or any of that).
I'm in search of the right kite for me, the fuel was awesome and im considering just sticking with an 07 or 08 fuel.
I want an 11m kite.
I ride wakestyle, no waves or any of that, just pure flatwater.
I'm 6ft and 70kgs.
Also if anyone has a LF concept or a cab custom for sale, or similar. Hit me up

@ Unchained
Undergrounds 08 offerings can all have a wakeboard boot/binding attached, they have an extra insert just for that purpose like the 08 Cab Customs, and some of the LF boards.

Man I'm sick of people ripping into Kitepower.
If I lived east I know I would go to him. The amount of free, quality advice he gives on here is huge. He seems to put a lot of time into his replies and who cares if they are biased. I know my replies are, and probably everyone else's on here are also.
The amount of time he spends typing out responses to some peoples questions is great, and I think he deserves to be able to promote his products. After all he is a site sponsor, and has Laurie ever complained about it?
And goon dogggg and gangstarrrrr, Steve has been here WAY longer than either of you. What constructive stuff have you EVER contributed here? You have no right to say this sort of stuff about someones business. And you don't even have your real names up...Pretty tough. You just seem to cause arguments. (Different to having a fun little stir).
I also vote BANHAMMER.

Personal attacks are so ordinary

Yes, and against the rules. The rules are the rules for a reason, as much as I never thought I'd hear myself saying that. Sometimes they are bent, sometimes they are broken, often they are interpreted differently by different people. I have taken all the personal attacks out of this thread. Play nice people, no-one likes being called names.

Hey Unchained I think you might be noticing a trend here, everyone seems to have the best kite for you and they are not all the same models. You gotta demo some kites to know which kite asuits you best. Since your in Perth go around the shops and demo all the C kties and hybrids you can see what works best for you. Take no notice what people try and sell you, demo it.

Back to the original queston. The Fuel is still a great kite if you can kite in excellent conditions all the time (plus good price new or secondhand). If you want to kite in the not so perfect days, then considering a hybrid is always and option. Rev is good, especially if you want to stay with slingshot, however considering the new Delta C styles might be more up you alley cause you are used to the feel of a C. Try Bandit and or Evo to get a feel for them before making any final desicisions. As said by others, your local kite shop should be happy to let you give them a go.
Have Fun!

are you going to be riding bindings unchained?

if yes get a board around the 136 - 138 mark... not many concepts in australia as the first batch had a major delam issue and they decided to not bring any more in for this season, i was on one until mine delaminated and it was the best board i ever rode. i will probably be getting one again next season, if you can wait until august september the LF boards will be coming out and imo are worth the wait if you want a solid board for boots, the range looks pretty decent this season aswell.

as for kites, wakestyle flat water youd want something not too responsive in the turns, try get demos on Fuels, havocs, hifi's, maybe cab switchblades... most of these kites have alot of depower for when you stack in bindings so youl be fine.

give jase a call at west oz kiteboarding and demo the havoc and hifi's im pretty sure he has all the 09 gear with him now, i only rode the havoc for 10 minutes but it felt the go because it was smooth n solid in pull n wasnt too responsive.

but yer the fuels are also SICK wakestyle kites and if you can get your hands on cheap fuels go for it.
