This is the msot commonly asked and annoying question by the punters on the beach [followed by how much the that set you back?].
I had puzzled over the perfect answer for a long time and here it is.

Response; Rotate your R foot clockwise in the air above the sand. Now draw the letter 6 in the air using your R hand without stopping or changing the rotation of your foot [TRY IT}

"When youve got that nailed your ready for kitesurfing!"

i would have thought the most appropriate response would be..."yes it is"
or you could say it is difficult but not as difficult as when i was an archeologist and during one of my "digs" discovered a mosquito embedded in a piece of amber, I found that my medical training enabled me to extract the DNA of dinosaurs from its fossilised blood. Amazed, I bought an island and decided to turn it into a theme park where the public could come an see these amazing beasts in their natural environment. Now that was difficult.

Another annoying and frequently asked question from the punters is;
What do you call this thing??
Ofcourse, my answer is always the same.
It's a kitesurfing kite, mate.
I've had queries such as; Is that a parachute/paraglider/windsurfer??
One day I even copped this gem; Is that an aeroplane???

Hmmm

I thought I was joking but I got a few really serious answers.

Might I suggest to anyone who tried the test without smiling, check in to see me for super strength happy pills.

Geez, most of you have it easy.

Back in early 2000 I used to get questions like,:

Did you jump out of a plane?

Where is the boat?

How is the kite connected to the board without a mast!

What happens if you crash it in the water?

What if you jump and never come down again?

And my personal favourite from a couple who sat on the beach and watched for a hour in perfect 20 knot side shore winds, how do you get back in?

Sometimes I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming before answering.
